Henrietta P. Cartwright- Edgecombe is a Bahamian filmmaker with years of experience in both New York and Los Angeles, the two top media markets in the U.S.A.

With a master’s degree in television production, Henrietta specializes in both single and multi-camera production. Henrietta’s television programs, ‘American Music’ and film, ‘One Man’s Journey’ can be seen on CUNY TV in New York City as well as PBS affiliated channels in Northern California.

Henrietta is also a Television Academy of Arts and Sciences(Emmys) Foundation Alumni with work experience at one of cable’s highest rated networks, USA network. She later gained work experience at Focus Features, an award winning film company which took home numerous Oscars during her time in Los Angeles.

In addition, she also served as Adjunct Professor at the College of the Bahamas, teaching production courses in Radio and Television. Since returning home to the Bahamas, Henrietta has worked on numerous projects that are changing the face and quality of television programs and films here in the Bahamas.
Over the years, Henrietta’s projects included commercial work that has continued to set the standard of Bahamian productions.

Henrietta’s latest tv project which was recently acquired by streaming service, Crackle, includes producing 6 episodes of tv comedy ‘This Is Paradise’ as well as directing two of the six episodes.
Although Henrietta has been able to amuse audiences while directing comedies, she is also able to move audiences with truly impactful and inspirational films.

As she continues producing and directing content, it is her goal to raise the bar when it comes to the standard of quality programming that comes from the Caribbean. She strongly believes in Caribbean talent and storytelling and is certain that it’s only a matter of time before our stories, programming and films are seen, embraced and valued by more audiences from around the world.
